Dr. Carolina McBride, Clinical Psychologist, Director
Dr. Carolina McBride is a Clinical Psychologist and the Director of the CITC. She obtained her PhD from the University of Ottawa after receiving a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. Dr. McBride received her training at the Toronto General Hospital (University Health Network), Royal Ottawa Hospital, and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). She has extensive experience in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy for depression and anxiety, and has been providing psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, and groups for over 12 years. Dr. McBride is an assistant professor at the University of Toronto, at the University of Waterloo, and at Wilfrid Laurier University and has trained over 40 students in both CBT and IPT. She has published a number of papers in academic journals, and her research interests include adult attachment, personality, and gender issues in depression. Dr. Marcie Dudeck, C. Psych (supervised practice)
Dr. Marcie Dudeck completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Concordia University, where she also earned her Master’s degree in the same. She received her clinical training in Montreal at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Applied Psychology Centre, and Pavillon Foster Addictions Treatment Centre. Marcie’s internship training was completed at the Royal Ottawa Hospital where she divided her time amongst the Anxiety Disorders Program, Mood Disorders Program, and Geriatrics Program. She has several years of experience in the delivery of individual and group cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), with additional training in schema therapy, motivational enhancement therapy, and experiential therapy. Dr. Dudeck has a particular interest in the application of CBT to the treatment of adults and late adolescents struggling with anxiety disorders (e.g., obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, chronic worrying), mood disorders, and a range of stress-related difficulties. Dr. Adele Efendov, C. Psych
Dr. Adele Efendov completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Toronto. Her clinical interests are focused on Cognitive Behavioral and Interpersonal Therapy for anxiety and depression. Her practicum and internship placements were completed at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in a number of clinics within the Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program including the Anxiety Disorders Clinic, Psychological Assessment Services, Mood Disorders Clinic, Interpersonal Therapy Clinic, and the Psychological Trauma Program. Dr. Nicola Fitzgerald, C. Psych
Dr. Nicola Fitzgerald completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Windsor, where she also earned her Master’s degree. She trained in both Canada and the United States, including the State University of New York - Upstate Medical University, Detroit Receiving Hospital, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, as well as various organizations in the Windsor area. She has worked in a number of therapeutic orientations, such as cognitive behavioural, interpersonal, psychodynamic, and experiential. Laurel Gordon obtained her Ph.D. in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto, where she also earned her Master's degree. She received her clinical training at the Toronto General Hospital, St. Michael’s Hospital, the University of Toronto Counselling and Learning Skills Service, and The Clinic. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and has worked with adults with depression, anxiety and related problems. Sandra Lecce, M.Ed., Ph.D., Psychotherapist
Sandra Lecce completed Ph.D. in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto. She received clinical training at the Interpersonal Therapy Clinic - Mood and Anxiety Program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Markham-Stouffville Family Life Centre, OISE/UT Counselling & Psychoeducational Clinic, and York University Counselling & Development Centre. Sandra is trained in Cognitive-Behavioural Thrapy, Interpersonal Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy. She has several years of experience working with adults who have struggled with depression, anxiety, interpersonal difficulties and other related problems. Lena Lee, M.A. Psychotherapist
Lena Lee received her Masters' Degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology. She is trained in both Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and has worked with individuals with a variety of mood and anxiety disorders. Lena's electic skill set also includes experience with psychodynamic techniques, group therapy, and expressive art therapies. She is affiliated with the Learning Disabilities Research Program at the Hospital for Sick Children and Across Boundaries, an ethnoracial mental health centre. Andrea Peterman, M.A., Ph.D., Psychotherapist
Andrea Peterman completed her Masters’ degree in Personality Psychology at the University of Western Ontario and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She has received training at the Mood Disorders Program, The Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre, and the Eating Disorders Program at St. Joseph’s Healthcare (Hamilton, Ontario). In addition, she has also trained in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH; Toronto, Ontario). Andrea’s training experiences have included both individual and group interventions for a range of anxiety disorders (e.g., panic attacks, social anxiety, chronic worrying, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post traumatic stress disorder) depression, and eating disorders. She has a particular interest in the application of CBT to the treatment of adults and late adolescents struggling with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and interpersonal difficulties. Dr. Meghan Prosser completed her Ph.D. in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto. She received her clinical training at York University Counselling & Development Centre, OISE/UT Counselling & Psychoeducational Clinic, the Psychological Trauma Program at the Centre for Addiction & Mental Health, and the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic at Markham Stouffville Hospital. She is trained in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy and has several years experience working with adults struggling with depression, anxiety (with a particular emphasis on post-traumatic stress disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder), and related problems.
