Cognitive & Interpersonal Therapy Centre

The Cognitive and Interpersonal Therapy Centre (CITC) brings together a group of clinical psychologists and M.A. Psychotherapists who have extensive experience in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).  Both CBT and IPT are clinically-proven, highly effective treatments for depression and anxiety. Both these therapies have become the preferred treatment for most emotional and behavioral problems.

The goal of the first (or "intake") session is to fully assess the nature of your personal problems and your situation and to formulate an appropriate plan of treatment.  Once the assessment is complete, treatment recommendations will be shared with you. Then, you and your therapist will develop an acceptable treatment plan.

The frequency of your appointments will be determined during the first few therapy sessions, and will vary depending upon your specific needs. After six to eight sessions, you and your therapist will discuss your progress. Treatment goals will be reviewed periodically and may be revised when necessary.

The material on this site will acquaint you with the facts about our professional services to help you make an informed decision about the right treatment for you.  You can contact Dr. Carolina McBride, Clinical Director of CITC, at 416-570-5050 or mcbride@citcsite.com to find out more about the services offered and/or to book an appointment.
